Mr. Eric John, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, visits Cambodia for his first official trip May 4-5.
During his visit, he will met with Prime Ministe Hun Se, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign affairs Hor Namhong, Minister of Commerce Cham Prasith, and Minister of Women’s affairs Ing Kantha Phavi.
He will also meet opposition party leader Sam Rainsy and human rights and labor leaders.
He will emphasize the U.S. continuing support for the development of democratic institutions and the strong cooperation between the two countries on public health, counter-terrorism, and trade.
