Celebration of the 115th Anniversary of International Women’s Day ,8 March 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce

On the afternoon of 6 March 2026, the Ministry of Commerce organized a celebration marking the 115th Anniversary of International Women’s Day, 8 March 2026, under the topic “Peace and Security for Women and Families.” The event was presided over by H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women’s Affairs, and H.E. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce.

During the ceremony, Her Excellency the Minister of Women’s Affairs, highlighted the importance of women’s participation in accelerating the nation’s economic and social development, emphasizing that women are an indispensable driving force. She further underscored that strengthening gender equality remains a priority and a necessity to ensure that all women and girls have greater access to opportunities and are able to fully realize their potential across the political, economic, and social spheres.

At the same time, H.E. Ministers of the two institutions expressed their agreement to jointly implement the Women’s Product Campaign, a project collaboratively prepared by the technical teams of both ministries and expected to be launched in the near future.
