Opening Ceremony of the Annual Conference to Review 2025 Work Results and Set Future Directions for the Ministry of Women’s Affairs

On the morning of Wednesday, March 25, 2026, the Ministry of Women’s Affairs organized the opening ceremony of its Annual Conference to review the work performance of 2025 and establish future action plans. The event was held under the high presidency of H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women’s Affairs. The two-day conference (March 25-26) focuses on in-depth discussions regarding three priority themes:

1. Organizational Reform Achievements: Progress in Public Administration and Financial Management Reform, Decentralization and Deconcentration (D&D) reform, including monitoring and evaluation (M&E).

2. Social Welfare and Protection: Prevention of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), promotion of well-being, positive parenting, and social morality.

3.Gender Mainstreaming and Economic Development: Gender mainstreaming, Women’s Leadership, Women’s economic empowerment, Media and digital inclusion.

Furthermore, the conference includes group discussions on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to develop the priority action plan for 2026.

The program is attended by ministry leadership, representatives from Provincial Departments of Women’s Affairs, and sub-national administrations, with a total of approximately 235 participants (including 186 women) attending in person and 665 participants joining via Zoom.
